The many faces of Nieder

Here is the second post from the ambient/art installation I call Nieder, which will incorporate both my soundscapes as well as my images for the first time. I will focus on portraits here, and if you happen to pass the vicinity of southern Sweden and are up to being photographed, please drop me a line! Click here for full size

A raven from King's Landing

Having a creative weekend here on my own, shutting the door from the outside world and listening to Ramin Djawadi's excellent soundtrack for a Game of Thrones. The title is borrowed from the american author George R. R. Martin's epos A Song of Ice and Fire. Got started on a couple of pieces, but here is one of the results from todays practice.

Waterfalls of Illidien

Finally done with this new piece that took a long time getting right, but tonight was its birthday I guess.  Please head over to the Gallery if you want to see it in its original state (the images here on the news pages are cut).

Ashford Abbey

The sun is shining, people seem to be happy outside but inside the dreamhours we are listening to Jeremy Soule and creating fantasy landscapes. They can laugh all they want outside, I'm nout going out before the sun has set anyway! Yet another landscape exercise up in the gallery, continuing the previous image from Trakorien. This one is called Ashford Abbey

Tatooine Revisited

A new landscape added again, this evening we are revisiting the fringe of the western dune sea, and pay a special homage to the almighty Jabba! Let's face it, there is a little Star Wars nerd in us all. And I have always loved the image of the two setting suns.

New painting up in the gallery

Added a new piece to the gallery, entitled Trakorien. I wish I had more time for paintings like this one, it is really my favourite thing to do. And I really must thank Dylan Cole and James Clyne and the guys over at The Gnomon Workshop for their truly great tutorials. It has both inspired and evolved me in creating better landscapes.

Release of the new site

Ah, this was dragging out for too long so here goes. Dreamhours.com launches today, ready or not (well actually not, but we are working on it, me and my chimaeras). I won't shoot of fire crackers or anything to celebrate the start, but things willl be added along the way, so bear with me. :)
